Expression

It seems only when it is quiet, that I can hear my heart pounding away as if it so desperately is trying to tell me something, yet the more careful I listen, the greater concern I have for not being able to understanding the language it is uttering.

If a feeling could be described, words would not be capable of embodying the intensity the heart can capture. Though when the heart is overcome with feeling, some of it may slip out and be contained amongst the ideas we consider to be words, when they are not mere words at all, but rather the essence of something more potent that could never be explained.

  • That is beautifully written!

It is so much harder to word the things we feel, but it can be so very important.

Thank you for sharing your heart.

  • pensive... that is a cool word.

  • Do you like pensive better than "pondering"?

    By mybelovedismine, at 7:34 AM

  • Oh, YES "pensive" is much more interesting because "pondering" is used too commonly in cases where it's meaning ends up becoming deminished, where "pensive" carries a lot of potency.

  • By the way.... where are your answers to the set of 8 questions?:)

  • MJ! Other undeminished cool synonyms (or antonyms ) for pensive- ; } cogitative, erudite, judicious, logical, rational, reflective, sagacious, sapient, contemplative, meditative, ruminative, speculative,& studious.
But I don't know that there are (often)going to be words to describe the glimmers of glory that our Lord (graciously) puts into our hearts. Mayhap thats where poets come from ; God gives them momentary grace to describe?!
Your moniker for MJ is well chosen MBIM. We are enjoying getting to know this most honorable & excellent man!
