Important to one but not the other,
Unloved and ridiculed for,
Atoned and now together,
The solemn tones it once bore,
Now remembered with laughter,
And echoes of seriousness once more.

Now remembered with laughter,

It sounds a little like life: We hold some things important that others would not, we occasionally are ridiculed for our stand in life, with God's love and forgiveness we find worth in our life and are made complete, life holds solemn moments, when we look back on them they often bring laughter and joy to our hearts, & when we look ahead at life we are thoughtful and more serious about the path we should take.
I am not sure what you intended this to mean, but this is what I thought of when I read it

The 4th through 6th lines just popped into my head. I thought they were neat so I wrote them down, and later while I was waiting on something else decided to try and turn it into a complete idea. Inspired primarily from the fact of how something being serious can also be humorous as well, and how interesting those oposites can coexist around the same idea.
I tried to leave a broad scope of application in the first three lines, trying to maintain the possibilities for petty arguments, or strong convictions and anything inbetween.
I originally wanted to target seriousness in general but found it not quite fitting, so I picked something more specific that is more applicable to being also commonly humerous.
I'm not sure I like how it flows in the first three lines, and then into the last three lines. I would also have rather taken a broader more abstract approach to the topic rather then a specific application as it currently leaves more emphesis on experiences then it does the concepts of seriousness being masked with humor.
Maybe someday I will be able to shape it into the original intent, but for now it appears to stand as it is, so I'll revisit it another day.
